Dr. Coelho’s academic journey began in Brazil, where she completed her ophthalmology training at the leading healthcare institution in Latin America. Her dedication led her to pursue fellowships in cataract and refractive surgery.

After a successful academic stint, Dr. Coelho moved to Australia and served as an Anterior Segment Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for two years. During this time, she encountered and successfully managed challenging clinical and surgical cases, earning her recognition and acceptance as a Fellow of the RANZCO.

Dr. Coelho holds a special interest in anterior segment cases and her passion lies in delivering world-class eye care to her patients, emphasizing accessibility and excellence.

Dr. Coelho is actively engaged in various activities within the ophthalmology community, including significant involvement with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO). She contributes to multiple committees, including the Australian and New Zealand Eye Foundation (ANZEF), the philanthropic division of RANZCO, dedicated to supporting eye health initiatives and research.
